Sat, Mar 2nd 2 pm: Amber Benson, Mark Cotta Vaz, Kami Garcia

Amber Benson signing the final book in the Callioe Reaper-Jones series, The Golden Age of Death (PB $7.99).

Mark Cotta Vaz, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl signing Beautiful Creatures: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion (TPB $18.99). “Explore the making of the film in this ultimate visual companion, lavishly illustrated with full-color photos of the3 cast, locations, and sets.”  Mark will also be signing some of his other books.

C. Writer/Director William Malone, VFX Academy Award winner Dennis Skotak and others TBA signing his release of Titan Find aka Creature (DVD $14.99).  This WS Uncut version is packed with never-before-seen extras, production art from Robert Skotak, Director’s commentary and interviews with cast members.

Tom Peak, son of the amazing artist, Bob Peak, signing The Art of Bob Peak (HB $79.99).  This 400+ page book is a complete history of Bob’s work from his early days as an advertising illustrator to his fine art.  Chapters include fashion, music (covers for many of the greats), movies posters (Apocalypse Now  to Star Trek), Automobile design, sports, travel, Time and TV Guide covers.  With the purchase of the book, you will get a special poster of either Excalibur or Apocalypse Now)

In 1951 Bob Peak graduated from the Art Center College of Design.  He went on to become one of the most prolific illustrators of the 21st Century.  In 1961 he was named “Artist of The Year” by the Artist Guild of New York.  In 1977 he was inducted into the prestigious Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame.  In 1988 Bob Peak would return to the Art Center College of Design as a recipient of the “Kubly Professional Attainment Award.”  In 1992 after over 100 Movie Campaigns including his iconic images for such films as My Fair Lady, Camelot, Star Trek, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Superman; The Movie, and Apocalypse Now, he was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Hollywood Reporter for his contribution to the film industry.  In 2011, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, California honored Bob Peak with an exhibition of his more than 30 years of movie work titled Bob Peak: Creating the Modern Movie Poster.

Jonathan Maberry signing his new Joe Ledger novel, Extinction Machine (TPB $15.99).   “The President of the United States vanishes from the White house.  A top-secret prototype stealth fighter is destroyed during a test flight.  Witnesses on the ground say that it was shot down by a craft that immediately vanished at impossible speeds.  All over the world reports of UFOs are increasing at an alarming rate.”
