Star Wars Celebration VI: Dave Filoni Panel On Star Wars Story Telling
Many Bothans died to bring you this video…
Ok, so no Bothans were harmed in the making of this video, but we did have to travel all the way to sunny Florida to get it! Plus a good bit of dips and dodges in the trench run of life and work. But boy were we glad we have it now. This year’s Star Wars celebration was an absolute blast, and we’re pleased that we can finally start the beginning of our Star Wars Celebration Extravaganza! We got so much video of the different panels we went to, including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels and, of course, Dave Filoni.
For those unaware, Dave Filoni is the supervising director of the Star Wars: Clone Wars television series on Cartoon Network. He was also the director of the Star Wars: Clone Wars film that preceded it, and has even spent some time animating for Avatar: The Last Airbender and worked on a boat load of animation during his time with Disney. You can check out his post on the StarWars.com blog to get even more evidence of just how damn strong the force is with this one.
Okay, I’ll stop.
But this panel he did at Star Wars Celebration was absolutely AMAZING, and was one of the best things we were able to do there. He spends the hour covering storytelling, more specifically, Star Wars storytelling. It’s a fantastic video for any Star Wars fan as he goes on tangents about some trivia about working on Star Wars. But it’s also the perfect vid for those interested in creative writing, as well as filmmaking. Plus, he’s just a lot of fun. So if you like humor, then this is probably for you as well, you discerning viewer you.
So check out Mr. Dave Filoni on this wonderful one hour course on Star Wars Story Telling. Plus, be sure to stay tuned for more of our upcoming coverage of Star Wars Celebration, where you’ll get to see Mark Hamill do a live Joker monologue, Anthony Daniels’ running through the audience, and plenty more awesome happenings.
